It won't happen overnight, but it will happen

We drove just outside of Oxford to see Blenheim Palace, which is one of Britain’s most amazing homes (the 11th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough live here) and took over 20 years to build (finally finished in 1722). Surrounded by massive grounds and a lake, the Palace was a reward to the 1st Duke. It is also the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill and has a number of exhibits about his life.

A self guided tour through the Palace with each room containing a tale from the palace’s past using a mix of animatronics and screens disguised as mirrors. Very entertaining and more interesting than just plaques to read.

We headed back to Oxford and avoided the parking issue by parking outside the town and catching a bus. We wandered around Oxford and explored some of the universities – it turns that Oxford is full of them!
